We are receiving lots of enquiries about the current road conditions, so hopefully this helps everyone out — especially those travelling through for Finke! 
Donohue Highway (Bouila – NT Border)
Fully OPEN. There is approximately 70km of gravel, with the remaining 180km or so sealed. The road has recently been graded and is currently in good condition.
Plenty Highway (NT Border – Stuart Highway)
Fully OPEN with no restrictions.
Gemtree to Jervois — mixed sealed and dirt road
Jervois to Tobermorey — dirt road
The Plenty Highway has also recently been graded, however after a few showers last weekend and traffic travelling on wet roads, there are a few soft spots about (see photo below). These are easily avoidable.
As always with outback roads, expect some rough patches, bulldust and corrugations — but overall the roads are in good condition and traffic is moving through well 
Please remember that conditions can change very quickly out here depending on weather and traffic, so always drive to the conditions and take your time
