We will do our best to assist you to get your vehicle on the road in order for you to get to the nearest licenced repairer or assist you with organising towing.
Please note that all call-outs to collect vehicles or provide services on the Plenty or Donohue Highways or the Urandangi road will incur a call-out fee.
The Meathouse Bar
The iconic ‘Meathouse Bar’ is a fully licenced 100 person capacity bar and dining space directly adjacent to the Caravan Park grounds. The ‘Meathouse Bar’ was designed to re-purpose our iconic farm buildings and equipment to create a truly unique space steeped in history.
The old Station meathouse has been re-purposed to become the bar complete with benches and uprights made from timber found right here on Tobermorey. The seating area is covered by retired windmills and features local sandstone from our stockcamp – you might even spot some fossilised flora or fauna!
By far, the most famous resident of the Meathouse Bar is the iconic 1959 Austin Loadstar Mk III, Tobermorey Camp Truck. It was lovingly rescued from ‘retirement’ and turned into a fully functioning firepit & BBQ by past team member and boilermaker extraordinaire Mr Danny Girdler. The firepit is lit daily through the winter months and is the perfect spot to gather round and watch the sun go down.
The Meathouse is opened each afternoon & evening from May through to September (dependent on guest numbers) with a range of beers, wines, spirits, non-alcholic options, snacks and merchandise. A family friendly venue, come on over and meet our Station staff and guests whilst you cook your camp oven on the coals of the Tobermorey Camp Truck firepit. Join us on the 1st Saturday of every month for ‘Neighbours Night’ where you can meet the Station staff from Tobermorey and our neighbour stations.
The Meathouse Bar is the centrepoint for our guest tours as well as pre-organised tour and event catering. It provides a unique setting for morning teas, lunches and fully catered dinners**. If you would like to know more about our Station Tours or Event catering head over to the Experiences page or contact the Station for more information.
**Tobermorey Station Roadhouse & Caravan park DOES NOT operate a restaurant. All meals or meat packs must be pre-organised and booked by contacting reception.
